11. Personal Data Transfers to Countries Outside the EU

At present, Swiss Medica operates in Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, and Serbia. We are also planning to expand our presence in other countries both within and outside the EU to make our specialized services accessible to more people.

When you contact Swiss Medica for an initial consultation about our services, you may communicate with our professional consultants, who provide guidance on the available options. Please note that our consultants, whom you may reach via phone, email, or our website, are located in Belarus. Belarus is not considered to provide the same level of personal data protection as the EU under GDPR. Therefore, we inform you in advance that your data may be transferred to Belarus, and we will obtain your consent before processing your personal data under these conditions.

Some of the services we provide may involve international travel for consultations or specialized procedures. In such cases, we may transfer your personal data to one of our facilities outside the EU. At present, this may include Serbia and Switzerland. While Switzerland is recognized under GDPR as having an adequate level of personal data protection, Serbia does not have the same level of recognized safeguards. In either case, we will inform you of the transfer, and you will provide explicit consent for your personal data to be processed at our locations outside the EU.

12. Automated Decision-Making

Automated decision-making occurs when an electronic system processes personal data to make decisions without human intervention.

Swiss Medica does not use automated decision-making. Any decisions that significantly impact you will not be based solely on automated processing unless legally required and explicitly communicated to you.
